Discover STEPZ House of Dance
Our Legacy
Established in 1995 as Fonteyn Academy of Dancing by founder Evon Chng, STEPZ has grown from a classical ballet school into a dynamic institution for the creative arts.
In 2007, a pivotal collaboration between Evon and Gan gave rise to STEPZ House of Creative Arts, expanding the academy’s vision beyond traditional dance forms.
A second branch was launched in Kota Kemuning in 2009, jointly run by Evon and Song.
What We Offer
At STEPZ, we provide a comprehensive and diverse curriculum to suit every dancer’s path—whether for personal enrichment or professional aspirations.
Classes are available for children from the age of three up to adults, and are tailored to varying skill levels—from beginners dancing for leisure to aspiring professionals preparing for international stages.
Our Philosophy
We believe every dancer is unique. At STEPZ, we emphasize individual development, identifying and nurturing each student’s special strengths and talents.
Our experienced and passionate instructors provide focused attention and technical guidance, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to grow confidently and competently.
Beyond the Studio
We go beyond routine training to offer real-world performance exposure. Students are actively encouraged to participate in concerts & competitions, television appearances, charity performances, workshops & masterclasses.
These experiences cultivate confidence, creativity, and professional readiness, essential traits for anyone looking to build a future in dance.
Our Track Record
STEPZ has proudly produced numerous high-achieving students who have represented Malaysia in both national and international arenas.
Our dancers have competed in The Dance Society’s Ballet Solo Competition (TDS) and pursued full-time professional dance training at renowned institutions such as EBS – Ena Ballet School (Japan), NTBS – National Theatre Ballet School (Australia), and JBS – Joffrey Ballet School (New York)
